We are glad to announce that the Global Smart Cities Summit cum The 3rd International Conference on Urban Informatics (GSCS & ICUI 2023) will be held in Hong Kong on 20 - 23 August 2023. We cordially invite you to submit abstracts or full papers to this conference. We look forward to meeting you in Hong Kong to discuss the future development of smart cities, as well as science advances, new technologies, and applicational innovations in urban informatics.

Registration Refund Policy:

  • If participants cannot attend the conference due to a rejected visa application or other uncontrollable causes, the registration fee is partially refundable, excluding the credit card processing fee.
  • If you are not able to attend due to personal reasons, the registration fee is not refundable.

Call for Sessions:

We invite proposals for sessions on any topics related to Urban Informatics and Smart Cities, examples can be found in the Conference Topics below.

Each session proposal should include:

  • A title and a brief description of the session topic and scope (up to 300 words)
  • A list of potential speakers and their affiliations (up to 10 speakers)
  • A short biography of the session organizer(s) (up to 100 words)

The session proposals should be submitted via email to info@icui2023.com by June 5, 2023. The session proposals will be reviewed by the conference program committee and the accepted sessions will be notified by June 15, 2023.

Call for Awards:

We are pleased to announce the call for awards. The awards aim to recognize and celebrate the outstanding contributions of researchers, governments, and practitioners in the field of Urban Informatics and Smart Cities. The awards categories are:

  • Outstanding Achievement in Urban Informatics Award
  • Smart Cities Development Contribution Award (Government)
  • Urban Informatics Journal Paper of the Year Award
  • Smart City Technology Innovation Award (application submission is required)
  • Best Conference Paper Award (application submission is required)

To be eligible for the Smart City Technology Innovation Award, you need to register for the conference, and submit a) filled application form and b) demo video (or by shared link) via email to info@icui2023.com by August 5, 2023. The award winners will be selected by a committee of experts and announced at the conference on August 23, 2023. The winners of each award will receive a certificate. To be eligible for the Best Conference Paper Award, you need to register for the conference and submit your full paper via https://www.springer.com/journal/44212/submission-guidelines (please select the special issue "GSCS & ICUI 2023" for paper submission when select article type) by August 5, 2023. The winners will be selected by a committee of experts and announced at the conference on August 23, 2023. The winners of each award will receive a certificate.
